Make Do And Mend

Lou currently has some of her recycled furniture and ceramics in this inspirational exhibition at the V & A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green. Why not take the kids over the summer holidays - there's a wonderful permanent exhibition of toys and childhood memorabilia and Brick Lane is just nearby if you fancy introducing them to a spicy lunch! The Handworks children's collection

The Handworks summer collection of children's clothes has been a great success and it's not too late to get some for the holidays.

One of the most popular items is the wrap dress, especially in the pink spot print (worn by Bea) but also in the blue paisley & lime/fuschia floral (as seen hanging in my apple tree!). It's a great dress which works really well as pretty summer wear but also perfect as a party/wedding frock.

Ishaan is wearing the woven cotton pyjama's in the blue paisley print, a lovely cool alternative to cotton jersey on hot summer nights, which we will be having more of!

Girls love the tiered skirts (seen hanging with the wrap dresses), they are cool but with the right amount of volume to enable some great twirling. The skirts can be bought with 3/4 length sleeve tops in complimentary prints.

Ishaan agreed to model some of the boys clothes whilst watching Thunderbirds. The action was far too gripping for any shots to camera! Clockwise from left: light cotton short sleeve shirt, pyjamas and a quilted cotton dressing gown, perfect for cool summer mornings or evenings.

We are working on setting up an online shop but in the meantime please do have a look at our holding page for more details.

You can buy over the phone or by making a studio appointment. Contact me, Radha by email on radha@anokhi.com.
