Mother’s Day Market Preview One

With just over a week to go until our Mother’s Day Market, it’s time to show you some of the designers who will be tempting you with their wares. We have some returning regulars as well as some new faces, so here goes with our first preview:

Set up by artist Laura Hamilton, Bird in the Hand’s first collections are designs based on prints made in Jamaica in the 1960’s and 70’s:

Fliff Carr has worked with clay in her studio in Camden for the last 16 years. Fliff’s most recent pieces, made with white earthenware clay, are embossed, stamped or inlaid with the subtle shades and intricate details of a variety of textures drawn from vintage fabrics as well as from her found object from the banks of the Thames:

Charcoal & Grey offers original handmade, vintage cotton, silk and woollen textiles made from fabrics sourced from around the world.
All their products are handmade and it is important to Charcoal & Grey to support local craftsman across the world and consequently help to encourage the younger generation to learn these special skills and keep the traditions of the past:

Petra Boase will be back again with her emporium of gifts, stationery, baby wear and party decorations including these brand new paper decorations:

Annie Neill is also returning with her trademark hats, gloves, scarves and socks in a delicious array of colours:

This is the first Homeworks sale for Scamp Baby Gifts who hand make unusual gifts for babies and children:

Finally, rounding off our first preview is Stitch your Soul, another newcomer to Homeworks. Alice works from home in North west London making quilts, hand dyeing textiles and sorting through her collection of vintage sewing supplies. Every piece is unique and hand made.

Keep checking back for more previews and see you next weekend. x
